War Pipe -- Plains style pipe MINIATURE
Item: PIPE-WAR

This pipe is a MINIATURE plains style war pipe.   It is not a reproduction of any artifact but is  identified as a war pipe by the bowl being in the shape of a war axe.  The bowl of this pipe is hand made from porcelain, glazed and painted with china paints to resemble pipestone.  The stem is hand carved from balsa wood and stained.  The feathers are real feathers that have been cut down for size and stained to resemble eagle feathers.  The decoration on the stem is intended to look like the quillwork that is often found on plains style pipes it is simulated with silk thread.

This pipe is a SCALE MINIATURE and is suitable for use in scale settings.  It is consistant with 1 inch scale.  Pipes of this sort in real life would range anywhere from 2 foot long to as much as 6 foot long.

SIZE:  3.5 inches long by 1/4 inch wide and  about 3/4 inch tall at the bowl.
