Boat Pipe
Item: PIPE5

Boat pipe.  This is a traditional boat pipe in the style of the Mississippian period (about 1000-1400AD).  The original artifacts of this type that were found were bowls only I have added the ceramic stem.  The originals were found primarily in Creek burial sites.  This pipe was hand built from Native Clay and incised.  It was then traditionally fired in a wood fire which was smothered to create the rich black color.

Size: 9 inches long. 2 inches tall.
