This category contains both original design and reproduction pots.  The reproduction pots in this category are fashioned after pottery from the Woodland (400-1000 AD) and the Mississippian period (about 1000-1600 AD.)  The originals were mostly shell tempered ceramic.  These pots have all been hand formed by

Some of these pots are consistent with the group of pottery made by the Caddo Indians.  This group made very distinctive incised pottery with a variety of incised, spirals, swirls, geometric designs and most are very detailed and complex.  Their works are seen in a variety of interesting shapes including gourd shapes, 3 legged pots and some very complex shapes.

Also included here, are incised, carved and deep carved animal designs, abstract, and stylized animal designs .
