Wolf Design Medallion
Item: BEA-WOLF

This medallion was hand beaded and is backed with beige leather.  The red designs on the sides of the medallion are typical choctaw designs and date back to the mound builders.  It features a  porcelain cab with  a wolf head design. The wolf design was transferred to the cab and then hand painted with china paints for a very durable heirloom finish.  It is beaded with size 13 chec charlottes, very small beads.  The cord is size 8 glass beads.

The moundbuilders were actively creating a variety of artwork during the Woodland and Mississippian time periods.  Many tribes are descended from them.  The Choctaw are one of these tribes.

Size:  Medallion is 3 inches in diameter.  It is on a 24 inch beaded cord.
