Grandmother Spider is a design frequently used by the mound builders on stone discs, pottery and shell gorgerts. The mound builders lived in the greater Mississippi Valley. The designs on these earrings come from pottery of the Mississippan Period which was roughly from around 800AD to about 1650AD They were hand painted with underlazes then fired to 2000 degrees F (1200C ) They are wired with sterling silver and stone beads.

Size: Overall Length 1.5" spider beads are 3/4" (20mm) Diameter
