Choctaw Lady with Corn
Item:
CHOC-LADY2
Choctaw Lady with Corn This lady is dressed in traditional Choctaw dress and has been out picking corn. Corn has been a staple in Choctaw life since before first white contact. It is an important part of Choctaw culture. This sculpture is hand made from hand dug native clay using the coiling method and then further carved and modeled to its final shape. It was hand burnished and fired outdoors in a wood fire.
Size:
7.5 inches tall by 4.5inches wide at bottom
