Lizard Lunch, Oh My!
This pot is a humorous look at life. This mound builder guy probably has his hands full of something because he is trying to blow the fly off his nose. The lizard is looking at it as a tasty lunch item. Does he even know there is a lizard in his hair?
This pot is a contemporary pot although it was made using native clay built using the coiling method, and was traditionally fired. Mostly because it has glass beads embedded in the lizard but also because the style is not consistent with the ancient effigies. It is a humorous look at life with a Native twist. The designs on the ear spools and head band are from the ancient mound builders.
Size:
9.75 in tall X 7.5 in wide X 7 in front to back.
