This bottle is a reproduction of an ancient bottle.  These effigy bottles are some of the most rare of the pots found in the mounds.   They are associated with the Mississippian period from around 1000 to 1700 A.D.   The original artifact this pot was fashioned after was found in ...

This pot was hand formed using the coiling method and then details added using hand dug clay.  It was then carved and fired in a wood fire.

Size: 7.5 inches wide 10 inches tall by 6.5 inch front to back.
