Owl Jar
Item:
OWLJAR
The Owl is a respected animal. The Owl can be a protector or a warning sign. Typically it is believed to warn of bad things like death or sickness or danger. It is also associated with magic or sorcery. Some Native American tribes see the Owl as a symbol of the soul. It is also associated with soldiers or warriors because it stays awake at night and can see well at night. The owl is a powerful omen. Take heed if he visits you to avoid the danger he is warning of.
This Owl jar is an original design pipe it is not fashioned after any historical piece. The head of this owl is removeable. The body is a jar that can be used to store small things. This Owl has glass eyes.
This owl is hand formed from Native Clay which I dig and process myself. The details were carved in and it was painted using colored slips. The black and gray are colored with a mineral stain all other colors are natural. It was traditionally fired outdoors in a wood fire.
Size:
10 inches tall 3.75 inches diameter
