Ravens are traditionally a very good sign. They are good luck, protection totems, and messengers of wealth.  Traditionally prayer and dance ceremonies of the Raven or Crow are made to make warrior medicine and provide powerful protection from the dangers of war.  There are also ceremonies of the Raven and Crow that are used for power in hunting and healing.  The Raven is a very powerful totem, and there are numerous folk tales about his powers and actions.

This raven is an original sculpture.  It was hand coiled from native clay which I dig myself then the details were added and it was smoothed out.  When leather hard the feathers were meticulously carved into it.  It was then fired and blackened in a wood fire.
