Miniature Animal Effigy Water Bottle

Miniature animal effigy water bottle.  This water bottle was entirely hand built from native clay using the coiling method and hand burnished.  It was then traditionally fired in a wood fire which was smothered creating the lovely black color.  This native clay often results in a very metallic looking finish when fired in reduction, which is quite evident on this pot.  I think this is a very appealing finish.
