Flying Serpent Miniature Porcelain Pot

This is an interpretation of a design found on carved stone sun circles from the mississippian period mound builders.  The design is placed around the hole of the pot with the bottom of the pot being decorated with a wave design similar to ones found carved in pots.  There are parrallel lines to the bottom of the pot inspired by the decorations found on both mound builder and Mimbres pieces.  The design has been updated by adding color.

This pot is hand formed from porcelain and hand painted with underglazes, then fired glazed and fired again.  It was fired in an electric kiln.

This pot is approximately 1.25 inches in diameter.
