Turtle Pot - Small This small bowl/pot  is similar to several turtle bowls that have been found in many of the mounds of the Central Mississippi Valley, although it is also different from any of them.  It has somewhat more realistic characteristics than most of the ancient bowls.  This particular bowl is smaller than the original mound builder pieces.  It is made so it can stand on its own as pictured here so you can display it on a shelf or in a curio cabinet.  It comes with a small certificate that tells a little about the ancient pieces and that certifies that it is made by a registered Oklahoma Choctaw Artist.

Size: 3 inches head to tail  1 1/8 inch from the top of the hole to the bottom.

Materials: This pot is made from terracotta.  It is hand built, burnished, incised and kiln fired.
