Southeastern collage Miniature Porcelain Pot
Item: SE-SMPOT

This is a collage of various Mound Builder banding designs.  Parrallel lines inspired by the decorations found on both mound builder and Mimbres pieces have been added.  The design has been updated by adding color.

The Mound Builders were actively producing a variety of art from the early Woodland period (about 400 AD) to the Late Mississippian period (around 1600 AD) and later.  Their range was the greater Mississipi Valley stretching from Ohio to Florida and as far west as the St. Louis area.

This pot is hand formed from porcelain and hand painted with underglazes, then fired glazed and fired again.  It was fired in an electric kiln.

This pot is approximately 1 3/8 inches in diameter and 3/8  inch tall
