Hummibgbird Big Mug
Item: BIGMUG-HUM

This is my largest mug so far.  It holds 20 oz.  This mug is hand made.  The hummingbird and flowers are applied to the mug while it is wet.  After it was dry the hummingbird and flowers were hand painted with underglazes.  It was then fired it was antiqued with brown underglaze to highlight the details in the hummingbird and flowers.  It was then glazed with a clear glaze and fired again.  The hummingbirds were then highlighted with mother of pearl to give them that hummingbird iridescence and the rim was highlighted with gold.

It holds 2.5 cups of fluid.
