Teapot Mississippian Period reproduction
Item:
TEAPOT
This little pot is a reproduction of an ancient Mississippian period pot. It is called a teapot although I doubt the ancients used it for tea. It won second place in pottery at the 9th annual Choctaw Labor Day show in 2012. It is hand formed from native clay which I dig in the Tucson area. It was then painted with white slip, hand burnished with a rock and fired in a wood fire.
