Dragonfly Pierced Porcelain Pot

This adorable little pot features a dragonfly and several lady bugs along with some poppies.  All of the background spaces have been removed making this a very striking little piece.  As it is quite thin it is also somewhat transluscent and if lit from below it will glow as you can see from the third photo which shows the pot lit.  The lighted stand is not included.

This little pot was all hand built from porcelain.  The design was slip trailed onto the pot with colored porcelains then the background areas were removed piercing the pot.  It was then fired to over 2000 degrees farenheit in an electric kiln.
