Large Dragonfly Pierced Porcelain Pot

This adorable pot features 2 dragonflies, foliage and some poppies.  All of the background spaces have been removed making this a very striking piece.  As it is quite thin it is also somewhat transluscent.  The bottom has been removed and there is a base that it sits on that holds a light.  When lit it will glow as you can see from the third photo which shows the pot lit.

This pot was all hand built from porcelain.  The design was slip trailed onto the pot with colored porcelains then the background areas were removed piercing the pot.  It was then fired to over 2000 degrees farenheit in an electric kiln.  The dragonfiles were glazed and fired and Mother of Pearl has been applied the them.

Size:  Approximately 5 inches in diameter 5 inches tall.
